Demolition

There’s this new technology for demolition of buildings using explosives. Precision stuff. Where explosives are set at tactically identified locations in the building and they cause the building to just crumble and fall when triggered at the press of a button. All over in a matter of seconds. Seeing this happen in a video, I was reminded of a wall, which was demolished and came to nothing. It was a middle wall of separation. This wall was demolished and reduced to nothing, thereby opening the passage between the parties on either side – God and man. Who demolished it? God Himself; I had no role in that. And this was the press of the button – Jesus Christ dying on the cross. As He shed His blood and breathed His last on the cross, the “wall” was knocked down. All I have to do is put my faith in the Son of God and His “Demolition Act” ; all while accepting that I’m a sinner, a terrible one. And lo, I have free access to the very Presence of God, the Throne of Grace! And that, as His child!! And His sheep.
