The Silent Train

If you are in India, you can never imagine a silent train. The long blaring horn of the train is a very significant part of the imagery of the Indian train in one’s mind. You just cannot escape it. But I have managed to. All thanks to the earphones which I had on when I got down to buy a bottle of water on an isolated platform in Rajasthan and the fact that my coach was pretty behind on the long train. I had a nice good stretch, bought water and was leisurely looking back at the train when to my horror I found it already moving at considerable speed! It was by God’s grace that the train braked after some time and I could get in.

On our life’s journey, we may also miss the horn due to other noises in our ears or due to being too far from the engine. So, there’s no silent train. The horn is always there. Will you hear the horn and respond?

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
